30 Days: A refugee family’s first month in the U.S.
Facing persecution in Bhutan, an extended Nepali-speaking family fled the country for a refugee camp in eastern Nepal where they’ve lived since 1992. They were resettled in Tukwila starting in 2009, but four members weren’t able to leave the camp until this August. We chronicled their arrival and their first month in this new country.
