This is an explainer video for the Open Society Foundations which describes the issues and work the foundation does within Roma communities throughout Europe. I traveled to two different Roma settlements in Slovakia in November 2012 to film the documentary video used in this film. I also interviewed photographer Bjorn Steinz and wrote a piece about our experience working in the settlements together.
