Ten year-old Holden Trent was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 5. After trying every treatment available on the market, the Trents found a clinical trial at the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences (NC TraCS) Institute, which provides Holden with medication that now allows him to lead a happy, healthy life.

NC TraCS is the academic home of the NIH Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
